My baby boy is 1 year old today!! I can hardly believe it!

See his little red eyes in pic 1??? he’s a trooper. I know the photos he looks so sick , but I had to post photos of him on the actual day. It was early this morning too right after he woke up! He’s still sick today. He has a cold.. He is getting better though. The 2nd pic from today I just updated its from after he had a nap and nice cool bubble bath!I can’t wait to have our family Birthday dinner tonight for him and see him eat Birthday cake for the 1st time! I will post photos on Flickr of the events! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. We are so lucky to have him, he makes our family whole and complete. I’m so lucky to be his Mommy. He is truly an amazing little boy!

A friend of mine is getting married at the end of June. She asked me where I got my dress, and where all the tuxedos were purchased for our wedding. But, we didn’t have a wedding. This is something I often think about and regret. We got married in the house next door, in the living room. With Jordan and baby Kyla (who was 4 months old at the time) and my MIL and FIL. That was it. I was wearing Jeans and a black sweater, with a fat tummy (Ava was inside) and my hubby wore Khaki pants and a t-shirt. Nothing fancy, simple and quick. Just how I wanted it at the time…. But thats just it. I wanted that at the time. Now, I’m full of regret. I wish we would have done something different. I’ve always wanted to get married in a church, have a big huge reception… So, we’ve talked and are thinking about re-newing our vows.. I want to do it on our 5th wedding anniversary. I want to do it at night, and have photos taken at night in the snow… Odd I know. That day falls on a Wednesday so it wouldn’t be a late night thing. I want a nice ceremony, followed by a nice dinner with all our friends and family… I regret so deeply that I never got any photos of that day, and that I never got to wear a wedding dress…

It’s something we need to think about and start planning. I want to do it on the day we actually got married which was February 8th, 2007… so February 8th, 2012 would be our 5th wedding anniversary and it looks good to me! :D

Just wanted to pop on and say Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!! I’m not doing anything special today - my hubby is working 12-9pm so I’m just hanging out with the kids today. I have a bit of a headache and a really sore lower back, so I’m just taking it easy and relaxing.. My hubby and I exchanged Valentine’s cards a few days ago we can never wait. I thought he had given me my present with my cards (beautiful satin purple bag filled with bath salts, bubble baths, skin lotions all in lavender) and to my surprise he comes home last night and hands me a Snuggie! I’ve been wearing it all day today because I can’t seem to keep warm.. I love it! It’s huge, but its good because Kyla all morning kept trying to snuggle with me under it… SO SO CUTE :) And Today I also got some chocolate!

Well, I hope everyone has a great day… I know a lot of people aren’t too into this holiday - its more of a “Holiday for Hallmark” - which is true, I don’t need a day to show my hubby I love him I show him and tell him daily… As, he does with me. But it’s still a nice day to dedicate just to love - and if you are celebrating it with a loved one or not I hope you have a great day! :)

It’s been snowing non-stop since Monday.. I don’t really mind it since I usually don’t have to go out in it, and even if I do I’m never out for long.. It’s pretty to look at and fun to play out in the backyard in with the kiddos! But theres a lot of it, and theres been a lot of accidents. I don’t blame the snow, all Canadians know what winters here are like.. I’m glad I’m not a driver, the roads are scary enough without all this white stuff… :/

Kyla is doing great with the potty, shes taking her time, doing it at her own pace and when she wants to. That’s one thing - I will not push my kids or force anything on them - we haven’t, shes done all this on her own and thats the way it should be.

The girls went down for their nap around 11-1130′ish… They’ll be up around 1 for lunch. Jordan got a knock on the door about 11ish… he is now over at his friends house 2 doors down playing with their superheros - Today is one of his non-school days. He only goes Tues & Thurs and every other Friday. So I’ve been lurking around Twitter and cleaning up a bit. I pretty much tore the house apart yesterday and cleaned it all.. I even re-arranged the girls bedroom yesterday evening because my hubby was home he only had to work a half day… So I got a lot more done than usual. Today I’m going to finish up the laundry and just lounge around with the kiddos. Jordan wanted to bake cupcakes later on so when the girls wake up and Jordan gets home I think we might do that! Of course I do most of the work the kids just like to decorate the cupcakes at the end :)

Tomorrow my hubby works another half day and we’re having Grandma over to babysit so we can go out for dinner, then to a show. We’re going to be celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and Valentines day tomorrow at dinner since we never get to get out alone, and wont have a chance to again for a while.. Then we’re going to see The Trailer Park Boys on stage. I am not a fan of the show.. But I bought my hubby tickets for Christmas. It’s something different to do, and it gets us out of the house for a couple hours so it should be an ok time (he’ll love it, I’m sure I’ll be bored to tears!). The kids are excited to spend some time with Grammy since any time they see her its usually for 5 minutes and thats it (but I wont get into that right now!) I’m looking forward to spending time with my hubby and just having a good time.

This isn’t the original post I had in mind. I had a nice long rant typed out and saved, but I just don’t have the energy to post it. But anyways, hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday… I’m off to get all the cupcake things and put them on the counter…. and wait for my girlies to wake up and Jordan to get home! MMMMMM CUPCAKES! :D
