Filed under: Kids, Photos on May 7, 2010 I was sitting here thinking about what I should post about today. I figured I’d post the video I’ve been meaning to post but I couldn’t find it (i think its on my netbook, which is in my room where Jayden is napping!) so I’ll do that later. But while looking for it I found these photos from a week or so ago that I completely forgot about…

Something tells me the girls will get great use out of the headbands and clips I just ordered from the e-gift certificate for flowerzinherhair.com that I won from a youtube giveaway - thank you again Kaylee! - I think they’ll love them!
Aren’t they cute though? Usually they get me to do their hair all pretty, but this day they just wanted to do it on their own. I don’t mind, I think its hilarious and they look totally cute. I think they did an adorable job! Reminds me of years ago my niece asked me if she could do my hair, and for fun I said sure.. She put over 54 clips in my long, super thick hair. That was fun to get out! The cute things little girls do…
Well a lot of you either guessed or follow me on Twitter and found out we got a puppy!! We got an adorable lil guy who is 3/4 chihuahua & 1/4 jack russell… and is a perfect fit for our family! We just love him to bits. He is so sweet, and has the sweetest little face! Click the photos to enlarge!

Believe me, You think he’s cute? - he’s about 1000 times cuter in person! About a week or so ago I was looking through kijiji and saw him with his brothers/sisters. I thought they were all adorable but he caught my eye. I said ooohhhh and awwwwa and my hubby said NO. So, a few days ago I was back on just checking and he was the only one left. I knew right then I had to have him! We wrote the lady, emailed back & forth and finally Tuesday afternoon at 1p my hubby picked him up! He was born January 18th, 2010 and hes tiny tiny tiny. At 6 wks he was 1.4lbs.. and now hes about 4-5lbs. He’s had his first shots and has been dewormed. His mother was 8lbs and father 6lbs. He won’t get very big. Even the pictures make him look bigger than he is! He is so cute, loving and just follows me everywhere! The kids were so excited and I had to remind the girls a few times hes ours, he isn’t going anywhere! They are still a little hyper with him and excited but its goign to be a journey! A really great one for our family… hes the perfect addition to complete our family!
Every Saturday Jordan and I go to the library. After today we decided to go to Michael’s craft store and try to find some stuff I have been needing. I really want to get letters for above the kids beds for their names. I found some today but decided I didn’t want them after I realized I had no way to get them onto the wall without drilling holes in them and I don’t want that so instead I’m now on the hunt for shelves for above their beds to put among things letters for their names! I think it will be so cute when its done. So instead of the letters I picked up things called “Paint Your Own Magnet” and these little figures for them to paint. The girls both got a butterfly magnet for on the fridge to paint, and Jordan picked out a worm on a leaf! Then Jordan picked himself a monster and the girls a monkey and a dog to paint; not magnets just figures…
The first few are of them doing the magnets, then the figures… the last 2 are of the finished products Mommy is proudly displaying in our house!
Aren’t they cute? I didn’t even bother trying to help. I stood there and encouraged them and watched.. I wanted these to be just done by them so when I look back ni a few years they will have been done just by them, and these will be something I for sure keep in their keepsake boxes when its time to take them down.. Which, knowing me wont be until they are all grown and out of the house! :) I’m going to be making another trip back to Michael’s and picking up more of these types of things. How cute would the magnets be for Christmas gifts? To Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles? I think it would be a hit in our family!
Well, my hubby is at a meeting.. and I put the kids to bed about half an hour ago so I’m going to take this time to read a little bit of my book that I’m “Currently Reading” then I think I will have a bubble bath. That’s going to be my Saturday night! Before I go I’m going to check out some cytosport muscle milk reviews though… and see what that’ all about! Hope everyone has a great Saturday night!
So hard to believe but this Thursday Jayden will be 2 months old.. This past weekend he started smiling, laughing and coo’ing and I am not even kidding, or saying this because he is mine but OH-MY-GOD he has the cutest smile ever, and the sweetest little giggles and coos :) I can’t help but brag…

I took these pictures yesterday when we as a family went to the park.. He was sitting in his stroller being so cute coo’ing, laughing and flashing his adorable smile! Yah, yah… This post is so a Mommy brag - but thats ok, I’m allowed its my blog :P I just can’t believe he will be 2 months old. Soon I’ll be buying him Accutane for all that acne as a teen. They grow up way too fast its unreal. Jordan will be starting Grade 1 in less than a month….. Ava will be 2 on the 12th of this month!!! Kyla will be turning 3 October 2nd. I love watching them grow - but man they need to slow down with the growing! I take him for his 2 month check up Thursday and I have my appointment as well so I’ll update then with the latest on him … more posts to come!
Today is my due date! Instead we are celebrating Jayden being here 2 weeks! I can’t believe he is two weeks old today, can you?? Time really flies… These are from our first day home from the hospital but I wanted to share because the older kids wanted to hold him, and have their pics taken… these are all so cute to me… and I got a pic of me with all four of my children; which is amazing to me! :) Take a lookie..

I’ll post more as now that I am feeling better I’ve started taking more photos! So, I will be posting more.. and I’ll also be commenting more on peoples sites. I don’t think I have in about a month… I’m horrible I know.. but I’m a Mama to 4 now… and unless its like right now (930pm) and the older kids are in bed and Jayden is snoozin’ too I dont get anytime to do much of anything let alone get to read my dailies… I’m exhausted right now though so I’m off to bed… Do me a favor and if you use Garmin GPS let me know how it is! will ya? :) So many people I know use GPS devices and I think they are a good idea for someone like me who gets lost all the time - and when we get a new van I’m thinking it will be worth it for us to get one!
These pictures are- 1: Me with baby belly at 29w,6d - Ava admiring the belly!, 2:Me at 30 weeks!, 3: Jordan climbing at the park, 4: Kyla posing on the rock at the park, 5: Ava loving the swing at the park!
Well, finally I post some photos! I had to downloaded the program onto the laptop to be able to tag these photos, because my desktop is just on the fritz. It needs a new keyboard and mouse on top of pretty much an over haul of the whole computer. But, I downloaded it and here are the photos I should have posted last Friday! :)
This Friday as I blogged about before would be my mom’s 56th Birthday.. I am trying to plan a trip up to her grave site.. Trying to time it, plan it and I have been looking for some good travel deals because she is buried 4 hours away from where I live. It’s going to be hard to plan around the kids and hubby, and pregnancy- but I need to, I haven’t been to her grave yet and shes been gone for 8 years this coming September.
I posted this progress photo on my flickr the other day. I’m amazed at how these types of progress photos look. I can’t wait to see at the end. I really didn’t realize how much I’ve popped out until I look at these all side by side. Just for fun I set up a Baby Pool please go fill in your guess, I’m thinking about giving out a prize to whoever gets the date/weight correct! As always click on the photo to enlarge.
Ava is her normal self again. No one else in the family seems to be feeling crummy so thats a good thing! Usually when one person is feeling under the weather we all end up getting it at some point, so knock on wood that it isn’t the case this time!
Tuesday after Jordan got home from school I was going through his communication bag - bag the teacher puts newsletters, school work, announcements, etc in - and Jordan got a Birthday invitation. This would be #4 of the school year! I love that he is getting invited to parties and he’s making some good friends the only thing is it’s for this Friday night. From 6pm-730pm.. At Chuck E Cheese. So Peter had to take a half day at work in order for me to be able to rush Jordan out Friday afternoon to buy a present and then for one of us to take him to the party, then pick him up. It’s all good since we are able to do it — I just wish we had more notice. But with last week being March break and Jordan’s class only going Tuesday and Thursday this week I understand… Let’s hope he has a great time, although its Chuck E Cheese what kid doesn’t have a great time at Chuck E Cheese!
I have a question for everyone! — No real reason or meaning, I just thought it would be fun - I’m not sure if any of these shows were shown in the US or Other places or not but Canadian’s should know these! They are all shows I watched and adored as a kid!;
Can you name what Cartoon tv shows these photos are from?
Jordan goes to school on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Every other Fridays. Peter works split shifts everyday. So he works 11am-230pm and then 5pm-10pm… Well, today was Jordan’s school day and my hubby picks him up between his shifts and drops him off at home. When they got here today hubby handed me flowers! He got me beautiful carnations. I love love love carnations. They last forever and smell gorgeous! What a nice surprise! I’ll post a pic of them tomorrow for Photo Friday!
My mother in law stopped in today, and I showed her this picture of me as a toddler which looks EXACTLY like my youngest daughter Ava. From the time Ava was born everyone commented how much she looked like Peter. Well, recently she’s started to look exactly like me as a child. When I found this picture of me with my Grandma ( I’d say I was 2 or just a little under ) I had to show everyone. Everyone thought it was Ava at first. Thats how much it looks like her! It’s incredible. Jordan and Kyla have my nose and lips, but they look like dad. I think all 3 have my nose, and lips but other than that I dunno. I really see a lot of me as a child in Ava.. I see a lot of myself in Kyla and Jordan too but looking at this photo its clear Ava is a little mini-me! As always you can see the full image by clicking it, or on my flickr as well.
I just got the girls into bed around 730pm… Jordan just went now. He has school tomorrow and its a pretty special day. It’s pajama day, pizza day, milkshake day and fruity Friday. How insane is that? I never had all those things when I went to school. We had pizza day, and hot dog day.. and I think once we had McDonald day. I hope he has a great day. I dunno about you but I’d love to reserve an Outer Banks vacation rental home.. How sweet would that be?
I’m beyond exhausted. I can’t wait until bedtime tonight!! My hubby called earlier and said to take steaks out and he’d cook them up when he got home tonight. So I hope he’s not too late because I’m aiming for an early bedtime tonight. SO TIRED.
Here is a photo I thought I’d share from tonight. I took this right before we had dinner and before their bath time. They were reaching for the camera - Ava and Kyla - and Jordan was just getting annoyed. A couple of the photos I got he was pretending to sleep because “It would make a funny picture” Silly kiddos. Anyways this photo and others are on my flickr so if you have flickr check them out. Aren’t they oh so cute? I may be their mom and all but you can’t deny they are cuties! Click the photo to enlarge.
I was watching Entertainment Tonight and The Octuplet mom Nadya was on and she was giving ET an exclusive in the hospital with the babies. I’m sorry but those children are beyond gorgeous. I’ve had such mixed feelings over the whole thing - I think the mom has issues, and I think she had other motives for what she did but these babies are small, innocent little people who deserve all the best in the world. I just couldn’t help but “awwwa” over how adorable and big they are. I’m so glad they are healthy and thriving thus far. No baby deserves to suffer. I believe 2 of the babies (if i’m not mistaken) are still in critical condition. When I saw the footage I couldn’t watch so I’m not sure what the details are. New reports and according to Nadya herself she is putting a down payment on a house this coming Monday. Which is good, and she’ll have a rotation of 12 Nannies. I know everyone is annoyed shes using “tax payer” money I won’t even touch on that subject. I just hope she takes good care of those babies, I have a feeling CPS will be checking up on her though after everything - I’d be shocked if they weren’t.
Anyways, That’s enough for me today. I am exhausted, and am getting kicked a ton so I’m going to relax and wait for my hubby to get off work. My house is so quiet right now I’ll probably end up having a nap!
I posted last week about making chocolate covered Rice Krispy treats. While today I had to make them for Jordan’s class Valentine’s Day party which is tomorrow. They turned out really well this time, a lot better than the first batch I made for at home last week. This time I didn’t use Chocolate chips I used 2 bags of Hersey’s kisses. Of course they are bigger and made the top look really nice. I got it really smooth and they look great. Of course I didn’t wait long enough to put the saran wrap on top of the last one so it messed the choclate up I fixed it, although you can see a little bit of the rice krispy underneath now.. But, I have pictures to proove when I first made them they came out perfect! At least to show Peter! :)
Yesterday I decided to take a couple more pregnancy belly photos - not the kind I display on the belly cam but just normal cutesy ones to have on facebook and for a scrap book I’ll be doing in the near future. They turned out ok, half of them had the belly cut off because I can’t find my pod stand so it was very difficult. But I really liked how a couple turned out. I love pregnancy photos. Obviously all mothers will never forget being pregnant, the experience and everything that went along with it. It’s just nice having photographic memories as well. I’ll keep doing them, and you can see them in full on my Flickr.
Well it’s rainy and gross outside. Poor Jordan’s school called an “Inside Day” because it doesn’t look like it’s going to clear up anytime soon. I’m surprised I’ve gotten everything accomplished today that I set out to do - this weather makes me so tired and lazy. But, I’ve done all my cleaning, and baking for the day So, before the girls wake up I’m going to make my rounds commenting on a few sites I read daily. I have most of you linked, if I don’t and you’d like to be linked let me know…
