Stay At Home Parents

“Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs, since the payment is pure love.”

How true is that quote?

I am so lucky I get to be a stay at home mom and be with my children. Many people don’t get the chance. Don’t get me wrong; If I had to go to work right now I would. I wouldn’t be too happy about it because staying home with my kids is what I want to do. My mother was a working mother. Yes, she was a great mother but I lost her at such a young age I look back now and wish she could have stayed home with me. I wish we could have been together more, done more things together, and even though her getting sick was out of her control I still at times get very upset at her because she missed so much of my life, and hers. Sure, she didn’t ask to get sick or ask to have cancer. But she smoked, and she smoked A LOT.

I understand everyone needs to make a living, and provide for their family and give their children the best life they can. I am just so glad I get to be at stay at home mom and be here for my kids. Sure, when Jayden is finally in school I will get a job - it won’t be full time - because I want to work around their school schedule so I can always be here for them but I will get a job. I’ve had plenty jobs in the past, and loved it. But right now, I feel this is where I need to be and this is what benefits our family.

So I’ve got a question for my readers; Did you have a stay at home parent? if yes, how was that for you? and if no, do you think that was what best for your family? why/why not? Clearly the money aspect is great when both parents work. But I mean emotionally and physically… was it best for you?
