Well hello there.

I feel like I’ve been missing a lot. I haven’t had a lot of time to be online lately, if you read my protected post under this you?ll know why. It’s been something else that’s for sure. But I am okay, the kids are okay and that’s all that matters.

Chase went to the vet’s on Tuesday. He got his splint removed. He also had an xray. He now has a Tensor on his leg with a little piece of foam holding it straight to just get it to where it needs to be - which will be 2 weeks from this past Tuesday at which time he will go back to the vets and have it taken off. Woohoo. He’s so ready for it to be off, poor guy. He is walking around in my backyard right now with a bread bag on his leg being held on by a elastic so it doesn’t get it wet LOL! It’ a sight!

Jordan has been involved in track and field for the last little while. Yesterday was the school’s big track meet. I was going to take the kids after my doctors appointment but it was overcast all day and was spitting here and there so I didn’t think they would have been doing it, today was the rain date. But they did it and Jordan got six ribbons! He got 1 for participation, 1 for 1ST PLACE! 2 for 2nd place, 1 for 3rd place and 1 for 4th! WAY TO GO Jordan Mommy is sooo proud of you! :)

I went to the doctors yesterday. I do have strep throat, again. I’ve had it over 2 weeks and was just able to get into the doctors. Hopefully the medicine I’m on will now get rid of it for a while… it’s not fun at all. Ugh.

I promise I’ll be better will blogging, a lot has been going on but I will make time! I will make time to comment more too, and have more giveaways RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!!! Keep checking for those.. so exciting!

Right now I’m going to go check out ebay for some books. I need to read more and I can never find anything good in book stores with 4 kids attached to my side so ebay it is!

Chase: Vet Update

Chase went to his appt. Soon as they got there they took him and did x-rays. The wait seemed like forever because I stayed home with the boys, and my hubby took the girls and Chase to the vets. Finally, I got a text message saying they were done. He wouldn’t tell me anything so the second they pulled up outside I went. There was Chase sitting on my hubby’s lap with a bright yellow sling. Sigh. The sling has a yellow happy face, a green 3 leaf clover and a little purple puppy paw print. He’s healing wonderfully, but its not 100% healed yet. He goes to get neutered on the 22nd of June and they said at that time they will put a normal tensor bandage on it if needed, if not he will be fine without anything! I cannot wait for that day. This sling is really long, its right up to his shoulder unlike the last one which he walked in so well, now he has a hard time. I suppose he has to get used to it again. But it breaks my heart seeing him hobble, and struggle. My hubby said he didn’t yelp or anything when they took the first sling off to do x-rays. That makes me very happy. He’s healing, so I can’t complain I just can’t wait until hes 100% again.

Tattoos and Babies: Oh my!

I totally forgot to blog about it! We had our tattoo appointment on May 26th to get matching tattoos and for my hubby to get his Chinese Character tattoo finished.. Well the 24th we got a call asking if we could come in earlier on the 26th because they double booked us. We couldn’t because of my hubby’s work schedule so we postponed it until last night. We were going to get matching Chinese symbols for “Strength” but I want to get that on my own as it has a lot of meaning to me, so we decided to get the tattoos above. Its a mix of Devil: horns, tail and Angel: halo, wings (him: devil, me: angel) If you know us, you know why. Then I have his initial P and he has mine J. Cute right? You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them! We both got them on our wrists.. Mine is on my left as the one I got 3 weeks ago is on my right, and his is on his right! Love them!

Jordan stayed home from school today. He wasn’t feeling well last night, so I stopped before getting our tattoos and got him some medicine and today hes still got a runny nose and he says his throat feels a bit better. Jayden was also not feeling well and he kept us up from about 330a. At about 4a after my hubby had been trying to settle him down I took him. He wouldn’t lay down though, so we had to make it work in my bed so he could sit, I could pat his back and he could lay his head on me. Finally at 5a we gave him some baby Advil and I got him to sleep in that position then slowly moved him beside me where he slept on his side until 8a. He’s still not feeling well. He’s rather cranky which is VERY out of the norm for Jayden.. it makes me sad :( Hopefully he will feel better soon.

Chase goes to the vet tonight. His appointment is at 430p… They taking his splint off, doing x-rays then we figure it all out from there. I keep getting told dogs heal much quicker than humans, I’m just not sure if he’d be to the point of having no splint on yet. He runs on it, he jumps on it, he hasn’t made a yelp or a scream since 3 days after getting it… We will see, I will for sure keep everyone updated!

Well, thats it for now. My hubby took the day off today in case Jayden or Jordan had to go see the doctor.. but I think they will be okay, so we’ll just enjoy the day being lazy and getting everyone some good rest! Enjoy your Thursday everyone!

Broken Leg? Doesn’t stop him!

Chase has had his splint on his leg for 10 days now and you wouldn’t even know it was on there! He hasn’t had any aspirin for 5 days and he hasn’t whimpered, screamed or yelped in 4 days! He lays on it, jumps on it, moves it in ways that would have killed him even 5 days ago! I’m so excited… I know it’s not fully healed, but at least it is feeling better and hes not in as much pain as he was before. He goes back to the vet on June 3rd, and I’m assuming they will do x-rays so we can see how it is healing.. I’m so proud of the kids for watching how they are with him and making sure they don’t accidentally bump it or hurt it when they play, or when he jumps up to lay with them. Thankfully, I think it will heal just fine!

The weather was amazing for the last little while. As of Wednesday night it was thunder storming and even rained again a bit yesterday. Today it’s looking like it will be another beautiful day, but it’s a little gloomy right now. I’d like to get the kids out to the big park today, or even just out for a little walk. Jayden will need a nap first, and I have some windows to wash and some house work to do.. But at some point today it would be nice to get them away from the neighborhood for a little bit.

Well, You’d think with all the stuff I do daily, and all the activities I do with the kids I’d have lost all this baby weight by now, but I haven’t. fat burners anyone? Not really, Like I’ve said so many times before they aren’t necessary for me. I just need to really start working at it and when Chase is able start taking him for long nightly walks when my hubby is home and the kids are in bed. Me going to a gym isn’t realistic, and it’s almost been a year now.. I need to get my butt in gear! Alright, the kids are finishing up eating their breakfast so I should go clean up the dishes and unload the dish washer.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Well hello there!

Long time no blog! One thing about me I’m trying to change is the fact I can go a full week with blogging once a day, sometimes even twice but then all of a sudden I stop for days. I want to blog more, and I want to interact more with everyone that comes here. I’m also really bored with this theme already so I’m going to start working on a change soon.

Chase is doing really well. He does yelp, and scream at least twice a day because of trying to jump up on someone, or one of the kids accidentally bumps or bangs his leg. That is still really heartbreaking to hear. His screams and yelps are very loud and it takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to calm him down. I have been keeping a very strict eye on him though so hopefully I can stop anymore little hurts on my poor pup. When my hubby took him to our vet’s the day after all this happened it was a $20 visit, thank goodness. They just checked his x-rays and talked to my hubby about options. Continue splinting, Casting or Surgery. For now he chose the splint. We will see how it goes, and he goes back on June 3rd so we’ll see how well its gone and figure it all out from there. I can’t wait to get my bouncing puppy back!

Finally our weather has been beautiful like it should be. I sent my hubby out yesterday to pick up the kids some pools. The 3 older kiddos got just a normal little pool, and Jayden got his very own little baby pool. I figured since the older ones splash and get very wild in the pool it would be best to get Jayden his own. Good thing I suggested it because he just loves his little baby pool. Of course I made sure to take photos.. I’m a little irritated that the complex we live in changes the “Rules” whenever they feel like it and don’t even notify us, I had to hear from neighbors that we aren’t allowed more than a little children’s waiting pool now. I would have liked to have gotten a pool the whole family could enjoy. Not as big as the one we had 2 summers ago, it took up our whole backyard… and while that was nice, I wouldn’t have gotten that big again. But something we could all enjoy would be great. But instead we are stuck with these little kid pools. Oh well, that just means more trips to the recreation places for us to go swimming and have more fun away from home. We haven’t done that in a long time so it would be a nice family adventure. We’ve been going for walks, to the park and all that fun stuff for our family outings but it would be a lot of fun to get the kids out swimming or even to one of the 3 splash pad’s we’ve got in our City now! This summer is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all, my readers! I’m also going to be doing a new giveaway very, very soon so be on the look out for that!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Heartbroken…

I’m not even exactly sure where to begin.

Last night at about 530p I was sitting outside with Chase and my girls. Chase was on his leash and I was holding it while sitting on my step. The girls were on the lawn playing. I asked them to come in for a minute so I could grab a bowl of Mac n Cheese since they all had already eaten but I hadn’t yet.

We came in, I let Chase off his leash inside, and I got my bowl of food. Proceeded to go back out front onto the step with the girls. Our door snapped at the hinge the other day, and it was giving us issues shutting it properly so I was pushing it shut and as I did, Chase jumped up hitting the glass and it popped out falling backwards onto him. All I hear is the loudest screams, yelps and sounds imaginable. I was horrified. I told my girls to get inside and we went in..

I followed Chase hopping into the kitchen, my hubby followed too as he was in the living room. He was still yelping and screaming, moving away from us snarling and trying to bite us. He then pooped all over the place, while still yelping and freaking out. I broke down into tears immediately.

He finally calmed down a little bit so I could sit and rub his head… But he wouldn’t put pressure on his foot, or even put it on the ground. My hubby had him on the couch snuggling with him, rubbing the leg etc… he was okay. Only yelped if you touched one way. So, of course we didn’t.

I asked some neighbors to come see, as they all have dogs of their own and have for years. None of them saw swelling, or could feel a break. Everyone but my next door neighbor said it was bruised or maybe a sprain. My next door neighbor agreed with me and said it was broken. She had heard when it happened and the noises he was making.. she used to work at the Humane Society, she’s heard those sounds before. Then my friend across the roads mom came over and she too knew something wasn’t right, she said it was broken too.

I would sit on the ground outside and he would hop over to me and get on my lap as I was bawling my eyes out with all these neighbors standing there watching. But after about an hour or two and him outside on the lawn hopping towards me, and in pain I couldn’t handle it anymore I called a 24 hour emergency vet clinic and my hubby rushed him right over.

He fractured his two bones in his leg. :( I’m mortified. My hubby sent me this photo while they were still at the vets (they put a smiley face in yellow, and in black with the word OUCH written on it now too, this must have been taken before they added that:

I’m completely heartbroken. He’s doing okay now. He limps, and doesn’t really walk on it… yet. Everyone says to give him about a week. He still whines a lot, and yelps when he moves the wrong way or tries to lay down on that leg. His personality is back somewhat. He really doesn’t want me to be out of his sight. If I were him I’d be so mad at me. I feel like its my fault. When he got home from the vets last night and was so doped up on the pain meds they gave him all I could do was sob and apologize to him. I know hes a dog, but hes my baby. I feel so awful, guilty, and just heartbroken.

After a whopping $458 vet bill for just last night - which they called us at midnight and informed us they forgot to charge us for his splint - an extra $100 - we have to bring him into our own vet tonight at 4p when my hubby gets off work. WHAT?! Yeah, so we’ll see what happens. We have the X-Rays here we have to give them, hopefully this cast and splint will do the trick and he will heal nicely. He’s still so young so I don’t see why it wouldn’t (plus, I googled and its usually older dogs that need surgery) so hopefully they will give him time to heal before they want to do anything more to my poor baby… My heart, and bank account would appreciate it!

Last night when he got home we had a pill to give him at midnight and another one this morning. He whined all night long. Finally at 330a I asked my hubby to take him to the couch to sleep because I had to get some sleep to take care of the kids plus my poor pup today… Not even 5 minutes after he got situated on the couch with Chase.. Chase was yelping and hobbling up the stairs to come sleep with me. I let him, he snuggled right on top of me and I slept on and off for about 2 hours. He’s sleeping right beside me now on his back, his poor little whimpers and whines upset me every time. I really hope this splint does the trick, and he gets better quickly!

Not Impressed

Yesterday we called the vet’s to set up an appointment to get Chase his 2nd set of needles, and then to schedule the appointment to get him fixed at 6 months. When we called the vet informed us we’ll need to get him his 1st set of needles AGAIN as well because there is only a 6 week window between them, and he was due for his 2nd set of shots at the beginning of April. We got him April 20th… 2 1/2 weeks after his 2nd set was due. So now instead of paying the $46 plus tax for his 2nd set we need to take him in to get his 1st set $95 plus tax then wait, take him in at 6 months to get him fixed $240 plus tax and get his 2nd set of needles at that same time $42 plus tax. So, the people we bought him off of should have had his second set of shots done within the time frame otherwise they shouldn’t even have bothered to advertise “Dewormed, and 1st set of shots!” Ya know? Now instead of paying $282 + taxes we’ll be paying $377 + taxes! Not a huge deal I’ll pay the money obviously, that isn’t the issue… But now he has to get poked again to have the same needles he already got due to the other people being irresponsible!

Anyways, I chipped my tooth again this morning that was bugging me and I blogged about a while back. It doesn’t hurt right now or anything, just feels very sharp. I’m going to have to make a dentist appointment and they’ll have to figure something out. They won’t be able to take it out because its right at the side of my mouth and if they remove it then it would be very visible. So annoying. I doubt there will be any way around it besides taking it out but I can hope!

I made some yummy Mac and Cheese last night for dinner. The recipe I got off of Nancy’s site (although I alter it a bit!). My family just LOVES it. They won’t eat Kraft Dinner anymore, it has to be this Mac and Cheese… and believe me, they even request it for dinner! Jordan even takes some in his thermos for lunch at school. I went and bought M&M’s last night to make my chocolate chip cookies but instead of using chocolate chips I’m going to use M&M’s but I got too tired last night. Hopefully today I can find the energy.

Time to tidy up a bit and help the kids make some crafts. The girls want to make hand prints to hang up so I have to dig out all the craft supplies! I will probably be blogging again later on today, as I have a video I want to put up and will probably think of more random stuff to talk about too! Hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Full of randomness

Another random post. It’s becoming a trend. But it keeps it interesting, yes?

Yesterday when my three littlest munchkins were taking a nap I was relaxing on the couch watching a soap (shh, don’t make fun!) I grabbed my phone and checked twitter. I saw that the account for Deadliest Catch was tweeting about viewing parties in some Cities in the States for tonight’s episode so of course I had to chime in and ask:

I didn’t get a reply back, but when I checked my followers I was surprised to see this:

WOOHOO.
Does anyone else get a bit teenager over when celebs or people/shows you really like follow you back? It can’t just be me. I don’t know, but I was a little bit of a 13 year old when I saw it and of course when my hubby got home I had to show him “LOOK! LOOK WHO IS FOLLOWING ME NOW!” ahha. /end nerd moment now. At least you all know that the simplest, and littlest things please me..

Well, I haven’t talked about Chase in a little while. He’s doing so great! He wakes me up during the night when he has to go to the bathroom. Its usually once between 5am and 630am.. Even though we are all usually up at 730am. I don’t mind that he does it though because at least he’s not going in the house, or worse: on my bed! Dogs are known however not to pee/poop where they sleep so that’s a plus because he sleeps with us in bed.. Snuggled right up beside me. Always having to have a paw touching me or his back against my back. It’s a really cute situation. People always say not to let your dog sleep in your bed because they will take up the whole bed or you’ll have a hard time getting him out but my dog won’t be getting much bigger, and hes a total sweetheart who never leaves my side. I’d rather him snuggle with us then be by himself whining or chewing things out of spite. Ya know?

He loves his walks, and he does so well on his leash. He never runs away, and hes a little intimidated by other dogs still.. which I don’t blame him for, hes pretty much smaller than any dog we’ve come in contact with so far. He will bark at them, and run under my legs to hide. It’s adorable. Hes quite mouthy when it comes to other dogs coming near us though. He’s very protective! Yesterday I took the kids around the corner to hang out with their little friend and I decided because I had both girls and the baby with the stroller to take I’d leave Chase at home for the 1st time. I put up the baby gate in the kitchen, put him in there with a puppy pad, his water/food and his bed with his chew toys and a rawhide. We came home within the hour and he had jumped over the gate and greeted us when we came in. He hadn’t chewed a thing, or messed anywhere. I was so very proud of him! He’s such a great dog, and a real huge part of our family now! I’m so, so, so glad we got him!

And since I’m being so random today.. I forgot to blog about when I had strep throat for the 2nd time not too long ago my hubby made me this beautiful, delicious steak dinner. He made me take a photo of and he so proudly said “You can blog about it!” but of course, I forgot. So honey, this is for you…. He is an amazing cook and it was delicious. I was hardly able to swallow, but let me tell you…. I ate it, and I loved it!

UNTITLED.

Lately people have really started to get on my nerves. Why do people tend to say the dumbest things or act as though they are 16 years old when in fact they are well into their 30’s? I’ll never get it. Expect a protected post soon to touch on this… You’ll be shocked.

People who act like a child when they have children.. That will always baffle my mind. If you have children and are still acting like a child yourself I feel sorry for your children. Not like I didn’t before because of who their parents are but add the maturity level and its just pure sadness. It’s funny too because I’m the type of person who would do anything for anyone but not anyone who acts like that. People who are so self absorbed, and too wrapped up in themselves to care about anything but themselves and even forget about their children. So disgusting. If you act like this do everyone a favor including your innocent children; don’t reproduce.

Anyways, Chase has been a great addition to our family. He is so sweet, and itty bitty. Everyone just loves him. Every time I take him for walks people stop me. “What kind of dog is it?” “Whats your dogs name?” “How old is your dog?” “Oh my gosh! he’s so cute!” It’s hilarious, if he understood what everyone was thinking and saying about him he would be a very cute dog with a big head! He had his first bath last night and didn’t even put up a fight or splash which most dogs usually do! He’s such a good boy.

The kids just love the dog.. Which I knew they would. Kyla likes to pick him up a lot which we have to keep telling her not to do and put him down. He has had 1 accident in the house since we got him and that’s it!! I take him out a lot, and I walk him at least 3x a day.. He loves his walks. He walks so good on his leash too. He’s very much my dog. He always wants to be with me. The other day we took all the kids to the park. I was walking holding hands with Ava and pushing Jayden’s stroller while my hubby had Jordan, His friend, and Kyla. He had Chase behind me and he kept whining to get to me and trying to run towards me. He does it no matter what, he just wants me all the time. It’s too funny, but at least he knows me as master/mom! It’s adorable.

I’ve been a little MIA with blogging the past few days. I’ve been so exhausted, and preoccupied with the kids. We’ve been outside playing, going for walks, having trips to the 2 parks around our house and just enjoying the weather before the rain is suppose to hit tomorrow. I’ll be blogging more though. Don’t forget I’ll be doing a random draw soon with the top 5 people who’ve left the most comments for a random giveaway!

If you haven’t already done so enter my giveaway to win 1 of 2 $15 starbucks gift cards!

Meet Chase!

Well a lot of you either guessed or follow me on Twitter and found out we got a puppy!! We got an adorable lil guy who is 3/4 chihuahua & 1/4 jack russell… and is a perfect fit for our family! We just love him to bits. He is so sweet, and has the sweetest little face! Click the photos to enlarge!

Believe me, You think he’s cute? - he’s about 1000 times cuter in person! About a week or so ago I was looking through kijiji and saw him with his brothers/sisters. I thought they were all adorable but he caught my eye. I said ooohhhh and awwwwa and my hubby said NO. So, a few days ago I was back on just checking and he was the only one left. I knew right then I had to have him! We wrote the lady, emailed back & forth and finally Tuesday afternoon at 1p my hubby picked him up! He was born January 18th, 2010 and hes tiny tiny tiny. At 6 wks he was 1.4lbs.. and now hes about 4-5lbs. He’s had his first shots and has been dewormed. His mother was 8lbs and father 6lbs. He won’t get very big. Even the pictures make him look bigger than he is! He is so cute, loving and just follows me everywhere! The kids were so excited and I had to remind the girls a few times hes ours, he isn’t going anywhere! They are still a little hyper with him and excited but its goign to be a journey! A really great one for our family… hes the perfect addition to complete our family!
