Filed under: Family, Kids, Pets on June 24, 2010 I feel like I’ve been missing a lot. I haven’t had a lot of time to be online lately, if you read my protected post under this you?ll know why. It’s been something else that’s for sure. But I am okay, the kids are okay and that’s all that matters.
Chase went to the vet’s on Tuesday. He got his splint removed. He also had an xray. He now has a Tensor on his leg with a little piece of foam holding it straight to just get it to where it needs to be - which will be 2 weeks from this past Tuesday at which time he will go back to the vets and have it taken off. Woohoo. He’s so ready for it to be off, poor guy. He is walking around in my backyard right now with a bread bag on his leg being held on by a elastic so it doesn’t get it wet LOL! It’ a sight!
Jordan has been involved in track and field for the last little while. Yesterday was the school’s big track meet. I was going to take the kids after my doctors appointment but it was overcast all day and was spitting here and there so I didn’t think they would have been doing it, today was the rain date. But they did it and Jordan got six ribbons! He got 1 for participation, 1 for 1ST PLACE! 2 for 2nd place, 1 for 3rd place and 1 for 4th! WAY TO GO Jordan Mommy is sooo proud of you! :)

I went to the doctors yesterday. I do have strep throat, again. I’ve had it over 2 weeks and was just able to get into the doctors. Hopefully the medicine I’m on will now get rid of it for a while… it’s not fun at all. Ugh.
I promise I’ll be better will blogging, a lot has been going on but I will make time! I will make time to comment more too, and have more giveaways RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!!! Keep checking for those.. so exciting!
Right now I’m going to go check out ebay for some books. I need to read more and I can never find anything good in book stores with 4 kids attached to my side so ebay it is!
My baby boy is 1 year old today!! I can hardly believe it!

See his little red eyes in pic 1??? he’s a trooper. I know the photos he looks so sick , but I had to post photos of him on the actual day. It was early this morning too right after he woke up! He’s still sick today. He has a cold.. He is getting better though. The 2nd pic from today I just updated its from after he had a nap and nice cool bubble bath!I can’t wait to have our family Birthday dinner tonight for him and see him eat Birthday cake for the 1st time! I will post photos on Flickr of the events! I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. We are so lucky to have him, he makes our family whole and complete. I’m so lucky to be his Mommy. He is truly an amazing little boy!
Click the photos of him as a newborn to enlarge them.. sorry for the 1st one, Gross eh? I love it.. The photos brought tears to my eyes. I have way more graphic ones, but they show too much of Mama which I could have posted but.. I figured I’d lose A LOT of readers! Plus, you’d all probably get sick AHHA. Glad I didn’t post them? :)
Jayden is having a little nap right now so I can get some gift wrapping and setting up done.. Hope everyone has a great day, we will! Celebrating the 1st year of our little boy!
A little while back I entered a contest Kaylee was holding and I won! I won a $25 e-gift certificate for a gorgeous store called FlowerzInHerHair.com. I browsed through the site a while and finally decided on 3 headbands, 2 flowers to attach to the headbands and 6 clippies for my girls.

I ordered and paid the difference via paypal on May 7th. My package arrived promptly on May 14th! The girls just love what I got, and everyone comments on how adorable the headbands and clippies are! Kyla is a really big girly girl and wants her hair done up all the time! While Ava wears her hair up sometimes, but she takes it out shortly after putting it up.. so these are really great for both of them because Kyla will keep them in and sleep in them if you’d let her ( which I don’t! ), and Ava can take them in and out on her own if she wants!

Ava modeling her headband! (click to enlarge)
Isn’t she adorable? And the hair bands with flowers really stand out on both of the girls because of how blonde! :D
If you are looking for cute hair accessories for your daughter, or a beautiful little girl you know check out Flowerzinherhair.com

I totally forgot to blog about it! We had our tattoo appointment on May 26th to get matching tattoos and for my hubby to get his Chinese Character tattoo finished.. Well the 24th we got a call asking if we could come in earlier on the 26th because they double booked us. We couldn’t because of my hubby’s work schedule so we postponed it until last night. We were going to get matching Chinese symbols for “Strength” but I want to get that on my own as it has a lot of meaning to me, so we decided to get the tattoos above. Its a mix of Devil: horns, tail and Angel: halo, wings (him: devil, me: angel) If you know us, you know why. Then I have his initial P and he has mine J. Cute right? You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them! We both got them on our wrists.. Mine is on my left as the one I got 3 weeks ago is on my right, and his is on his right! Love them!
Jordan stayed home from school today. He wasn’t feeling well last night, so I stopped before getting our tattoos and got him some medicine and today hes still got a runny nose and he says his throat feels a bit better. Jayden was also not feeling well and he kept us up from about 330a. At about 4a after my hubby had been trying to settle him down I took him. He wouldn’t lay down though, so we had to make it work in my bed so he could sit, I could pat his back and he could lay his head on me. Finally at 5a we gave him some baby Advil and I got him to sleep in that position then slowly moved him beside me where he slept on his side until 8a. He’s still not feeling well. He’s rather cranky which is VERY out of the norm for Jayden.. it makes me sad :( Hopefully he will feel better soon.
Chase goes to the vet tonight. His appointment is at 430p… They taking his splint off, doing x-rays then we figure it all out from there. I keep getting told dogs heal much quicker than humans, I’m just not sure if he’d be to the point of having no splint on yet. He runs on it, he jumps on it, he hasn’t made a yelp or a scream since 3 days after getting it… We will see, I will for sure keep everyone updated!
Well, thats it for now. My hubby took the day off today in case Jayden or Jordan had to go see the doctor.. but I think they will be okay, so we’ll just enjoy the day being lazy and getting everyone some good rest! Enjoy your Thursday everyone!

Chase has had his splint on his leg for 10 days now and you wouldn’t even know it was on there! He hasn’t had any aspirin for 5 days and he hasn’t whimpered, screamed or yelped in 4 days! He lays on it, jumps on it, moves it in ways that would have killed him even 5 days ago! I’m so excited… I know it’s not fully healed, but at least it is feeling better and hes not in as much pain as he was before. He goes back to the vet on June 3rd, and I’m assuming they will do x-rays so we can see how it is healing.. I’m so proud of the kids for watching how they are with him and making sure they don’t accidentally bump it or hurt it when they play, or when he jumps up to lay with them. Thankfully, I think it will heal just fine!
The weather was amazing for the last little while. As of Wednesday night it was thunder storming and even rained again a bit yesterday. Today it’s looking like it will be another beautiful day, but it’s a little gloomy right now. I’d like to get the kids out to the big park today, or even just out for a little walk. Jayden will need a nap first, and I have some windows to wash and some house work to do.. But at some point today it would be nice to get them away from the neighborhood for a little bit.
Well, You’d think with all the stuff I do daily, and all the activities I do with the kids I’d have lost all this baby weight by now, but I haven’t. fat burners anyone? Not really, Like I’ve said so many times before they aren’t necessary for me. I just need to really start working at it and when Chase is able start taking him for long nightly walks when my hubby is home and the kids are in bed. Me going to a gym isn’t realistic, and it’s almost been a year now.. I need to get my butt in gear! Alright, the kids are finishing up eating their breakfast so I should go clean up the dishes and unload the dish washer.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Long time no blog! One thing about me I’m trying to change is the fact I can go a full week with blogging once a day, sometimes even twice but then all of a sudden I stop for days. I want to blog more, and I want to interact more with everyone that comes here. I’m also really bored with this theme already so I’m going to start working on a change soon.
Chase is doing really well. He does yelp, and scream at least twice a day because of trying to jump up on someone, or one of the kids accidentally bumps or bangs his leg. That is still really heartbreaking to hear. His screams and yelps are very loud and it takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to calm him down. I have been keeping a very strict eye on him though so hopefully I can stop anymore little hurts on my poor pup. When my hubby took him to our vet’s the day after all this happened it was a $20 visit, thank goodness. They just checked his x-rays and talked to my hubby about options. Continue splinting, Casting or Surgery. For now he chose the splint. We will see how it goes, and he goes back on June 3rd so we’ll see how well its gone and figure it all out from there. I can’t wait to get my bouncing puppy back!
Finally our weather has been beautiful like it should be. I sent my hubby out yesterday to pick up the kids some pools. The 3 older kiddos got just a normal little pool, and Jayden got his very own little baby pool. I figured since the older ones splash and get very wild in the pool it would be best to get Jayden his own. Good thing I suggested it because he just loves his little baby pool. Of course I made sure to take photos.. I’m a little irritated that the complex we live in changes the “Rules” whenever they feel like it and don’t even notify us, I had to hear from neighbors that we aren’t allowed more than a little children’s waiting pool now. I would have liked to have gotten a pool the whole family could enjoy. Not as big as the one we had 2 summers ago, it took up our whole backyard… and while that was nice, I wouldn’t have gotten that big again. But something we could all enjoy would be great.
But instead we are stuck with these little kid pools. Oh well, that just means more trips to the recreation places for us to go swimming and have more fun away from home. We haven’t done that in a long time so it would be a nice family adventure. We’ve been going for walks, to the park and all that fun stuff for our family outings but it would be a lot of fun to get the kids out swimming or even to one of the 3 splash pad’s we’ve got in our City now! This summer is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all, my readers! I’m also going to be doing a new giveaway very, very soon so be on the look out for that!
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
Well I hope everyone had a good weekend. I know I did!
Yesterday morning I went with my neighbor and friend’s mom to the Casino! We originally planned to go to Bingo but at the last minute decided on the Casino. It was my first time going and I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had a blast. The slot machines are so much fun! I only took $35 because it was what I was taking to Bingo… and I came home with $25. Within 5 minutes of us being there she won $50…. and right before we left she won $80. I’m jealous of her luck, but it was so much fun. Next time I’m going to be taking more money lol.. Its way too much fun, and although it can really be addictive thank goodness I don’t drive and its like 30 minutes out of our city! I hope to go once a month or every few months just to have some time to myself. My hubby goes to his meetings, so I’d like to do something too.. but in moderation. Losing money isn’t something I want to do weekly! :)
After the casino I came home and had a great day with the family outside. Jayden napped for a bit so we brought the monitor outside with us and hung out on the lawn. The kids wrote on the driveway with some chalk, they were running around and having a blast. The weather is incredible and will be this whole week. I’m glad, but in a way I hope for rain or something so I can get the things I need to get done inside done.. the nice weather hinders me from doing what I need to do because I always want to enjoy it and take my kids out to enjoy it.
Today we were suppose to be heading up to Jordan’s school at 330p when school let out for a meeting with his teacher. But she litterally just called me 10 minutes ago to tell me we’d have to switch it for Wednesday as she had to leave right after school today. UGH. I was a little upset because my hubby is getting off work early for it, and the kids Jordan rides his bike to school with know they don’t have to meet him as his class after school because we were going to go up there and get him. So, instead we are just going to walk up and pick him up.. we’ll let the girls ride their bikes and that way we still get in a family walk!
That will be fun… Well, I just put the kids down for a nap so they won’t be grumpy for our walk or be too tired… so I should get my butt in gear and start some more laundry, and I need to dust/wash all the glass in this house! Hope everyone is having a great Monday.. I’m still feeling like crap, this cold doesn’t seem to be getting any better.. so, perhaps you all are having a much better day than I am!
I was sitting here thinking about what I should post about today. I figured I’d post the video I’ve been meaning to post but I couldn’t find it (i think its on my netbook, which is in my room where Jayden is napping!) so I’ll do that later. But while looking for it I found these photos from a week or so ago that I completely forgot about…

Something tells me the girls will get great use out of the headbands and clips I just ordered from the e-gift certificate for flowerzinherhair.com that I won from a youtube giveaway - thank you again Kaylee! - I think they’ll love them!
Aren’t they cute though? Usually they get me to do their hair all pretty, but this day they just wanted to do it on their own. I don’t mind, I think its hilarious and they look totally cute. I think they did an adorable job! Reminds me of years ago my niece asked me if she could do my hair, and for fun I said sure.. She put over 54 clips in my long, super thick hair. That was fun to get out! The cute things little girls do…
Have you ever just been so tired you don’t want to even walk up the stairs to bed? I do believe I’m at that point right now. I don’t know why or how I got so tired but at night I’m exhausted by the time the kids go to bed I have no idea how my bedtime isn’t like 8pm. It should be! I am about to go to bed but I wanted to get a real blog post in before I do.
Today Jordan and I headed out just after noon to get his best friend a Birthday present for the party tomorrow at Chuck E Cheese. We spent a good chunk of change, so I hope his friend enjoys the bag full of stuff we got him! I find boys so much easier to buy for at Birthday times because they are all pretty much into the same things: Transformers, Star Wars, Anything to do with GI Joe, Iron Man and Hot Wheels really. I always found shopping for girls Birthday parties was hard because girls can be very picky. My girls for example Ava is really into Wiggles, Dora, and Barney while Kyla is really into Disney Princess and Barbie. I hope when Kyla goes to school next year and she gets invited to parties I don’t have a difficult time.. Then again though, it might be easier since Kyla will be that age, and kinda know what girls are into. Back when I was in school and went to Birthday parties it was all about Fake press on Nails, Sticker earrings and Skipping ropes.
I also got some more flowers for my garden. My hubby came home from work on Thursday and he had stopped to get me a surprise. Flowers & Plants for my 2 front gardens! I love them, but none of them have bloomed yet so I figured I’d pick up already flowered ones to add with them and the garden looks adorable. I will have to post a photo.. I love my gardens, and my hanging plants that hang right out front. I think I will get the kids to plant some seeds in soil and cups in the next little while and have them up in my kitchen window. Once they grow they can be transferred too. I was hoping Jordan’s class would do that this year at some point but they haven’t yet, I think things like that from the kids are the best! I love anything kids make!
I’m not too sure how many of you know this but I’m a HUGE fan of the tv show The Deadliest Catch. It’s a show on the Discovery channel following fishing boats that go out Crabbing on the Bering sea. I love, love, love it. My favorite Captain on the show Phil Harris passed away recently and last night was his live memorial. I missed it, sadly so today this afternoon while my hubby watched a movie and the kids were playing I grabbed some headphones and sat down to watch the replay of it. It was nice, I’m glad I was able to tune in. I have a gigantic crush on Jake Harris - one of Phil’s sons - who is on the show and on his boat. I’m turning into such a freak for this show.. I don’t even know how it happened. My hubby and I have been watching it for a while, but I’m like right into it. They also had a live “Catch Con” from 12p-6p today I couldn’t watch live because of the kids but I watched after they went to bed.. I watched Captain’s panel (all the captain’s answering questions/talking on stage) and you better believe I didn’t miss the Crew Panel (same as Captain’s panel only with the crew that work on deck of the boats) I couldn’t miss seeing that! I had to see my Jake. Isn’t he cute? Well, I think so. Nobody understands my little crush on him so I don’t expect you all to understand either, heh. My little crush really bugs my hubby but that’s okay… At least he can’t complain because I am MORE than willing to watch the show with him and the new season just started! :)
Well, this random post got a lot longer than I wanted. I’m going to head to bed now, I hope everyone had a great Saturday. It’s raining and has been thundering/lightening for the majority of the day. I love it.. It’s suppose to continue on tomorrow so I’ll be enjoying another day inside with my beautiful family. Have a great Sunday too all!

Wonderful. Today it’s raining. Don’t get me wrong I love listening to the rain from my window, and the smell of it in the Spring but today… could have been an outdoor day. The kids have been cooped in the house the past 2 days because of rain and they aren’t happy. What is better than running around outside getting your energy all out, or riding your little tricycle with the wind blowing in your hair? Quite frankly at 2 and 3 years-old that’s pretty much the cats meow. It’s suppose to rain for the next 3 days, then stop for 3 days, then continue raining.. I know the saying is “April Showers Bring May Flowers” but seriously, it gets old.
The weather isn’t helping the no nap situation going on here lately either. Days we can spend the majority of the day outside you’d never be able to tell the girls didn’t nap. They are so busy playing and having fun they forget to be cranky because they are tired. Those days are the best, and believe me fresh air does wonders even for babies. Jayden sleeps like a newborn baby after being outside during the day too. Jordan does too he plays hard though. Riding his bike, running around playing man hunt and other boy games with the boys of the neighborhood.. During the week that boy is dead to the world when he goes to sleep after being at school all day and outside for a couple hours afterward.
Anyways, Time to find something to prepare for dessert after dinner tonight. I’m trying to find recipes that contain apple sauce instead of sugar. I love baking without sugar, not only is it a little healthier but I find it tastes much better. The way I’ve been baking/cooking lately its a good thing I don’t indulge too much otherwise I’d be needing some slimming pills! Not really, but like I’ve mentioned on here before I can’t wait until the weather is nice enough to go for daily walks after dinner and taking the kids for long bike rides to help in my post-baby weight loss. Since my gallbladder issues I am amazed at how much weight I’m losing… People comment all the time, and nothing makes you smile more than when someone notices something you are working hard at! I was/am far from “over weight” but I need to lose the left over baby gut.. Any day now! :)
