So much has been going on personally the past few days. If you follow me on Twitter you obviously know, and if not Sorry.

I’m okay, and just taking things one day at a time. I’m stronger than I ever thought I could be and I’m so glad I am because Gosh has this been a week…….and its only Wednesday :/

Anyways…

I was helping a friend of mine job search the other day before all this stuff started happening. Theres a lot of finance jobs, banking jobs and jobs that I noticed were always hiring… What is up with that? Anyways, these days its so hard to find work. I’m about to check kijiji for her and see if anything sticks out. I need to keep my mind off things and the girls are in bed, Jayden is asleep beside me and Jord is off at my MIL’s house for the night! :D I hope hes having a great time!

What would be more exciting than taking a trip around the Country? I guess it wouldn’t be so exciting unless you have the proper vehicle. When I’m old and even more gray than I am now I’d love to get a motorhome. Travel around Canada, and the USA… Tons to see and do I’m sure it would be great! Anyone that reads here ever done it?

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.. I’m excited for Friday morning when my kids wake up and get to tackle all these presents over flowing our tree!

Last night we went to my mother in law’s and had some yummy food and opened some presents with her as shes off to Toronto tomorrow morning to spend her Christmas with the rest of the family. We all had fun, and I posted some of the pics on flickr!

Well I really hope everyone has a great Christmas. I love this time of year - and can’t wait to enjoy it with my kids and husband!!!

Well I knew I was afraid of snakes and I knew I didn’t like mice… Little did I know until last night how deathly afraid of mice I really am..

Last night after Jordan got home from his friends house I sent him upstairs to get his jammies on and told him he could fall asleep to his tv… He goes upstairs to get his jammies on and runs downstairs yelling “Stella has a mouse! Stella has a mouse in her mouth!” I’m like “Shut up.. are you sure its not your hamster?”

So I put my shoes on and grab a broom.. and I head upstairs. I get to the middle of the stairs and I hear it squeeling.. I get up there and theres my cat standing in the middle of Jordan’s room with this mouse. OMG!!!! I stand there and scream “Get it Stella! Get it!” and I slammed the door shut and ran downstairs…

Where the hell did this mouse come from? and why is it there?? Where we live we live in a townhouse with like 5 other houses attached… All our neighbors have had mice issues for months so one was bound to make its way over here.. and it sure did.

After crying, almost fainting and freaking out for over 2 hours (mouse and cat still locked in Jordan’s room) my hubby got home and went on the hunt for it… he couldn’t find it, and by this time it was midnight so we told Jordan we’d find it in the am and he was safe to go to sleep….Stella was under Jordan’s bunk beds where my hubby couldn’t get to so he would have to look in the light.. well he didnt need to…

This morning my hubby came downstairs and it was dead in half on my living room floor… YUCK!!! My hubby came to tell me, I didn’t believe him so I made him dig it out of the garbage and show me.. there it was! THANK GOSH!

Its getting really cold outside and everyone is turning on their heat so these little buggers try to get where the heat is… WRONG HOUSE!! I almost fainted and boy am I glad to have cats!

Basements are where everyone around here are finding them, or on their main floor so it makes me wonder HOW THE HELL did it get up to the 3rd floor? I at first thought it was a baby, but my hubby said it wasn’t… it wasnt a old adult, but it wasn’t a baby either.. But now its gone!

I’m so happy I went upstairs to find my cat who was sleeping on Jordans bed I gave her tons of pets and kisses! If any more scurry in here my cat will be sure to get it! My other cat RAN AWAY from it…. But at least we
know Stella is on the hunt!

So Ava had another appointment today with the eye doctor. She did great, but she still needs to keep the patch on for 6-7 hours a day, and her glasses full time. I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t lower her patch time anymore but at least its working and shes gaining more strength in her eye.

Jordan went to the dentist today and he did great as well! He also got his report card on Friday and is doing amazing in school. I could not be anymore of a Proud Mom!

Kyla tagged along with me to Ava’s appointment while Jayden tagged along with Jordan and Daddy. It was an easy fix to having to be 2 places at once.

I think I am going to trim my girls hair tomorrow. Their hair is driving me nuts. Its super curly, always looks messy and unbrushed. I think I’ll trim it and hope it starts to grow in more and I hate to say it but maybe even straighter? I dunno, but Jordan had really curly hair as a toddler and one day I took him to get it cut and it grew in straight ever since… Heres to hoping. Although, I do love the girls curls its so hard to do anything with and it just always looks a mess.

Not much is really going on. I had a migraine for 3 days last week/this weekend and it wasn’t fun. I thought I was going to have to make a trip to the ER for an IV just to have the edge taken off, but thankfully I didn’t need to.

Christmas is almost here. I can’t wait to get it over with to be quite honest. I love the holidays but I just want my living room back to normal and get that tree put away. The kids can’t wait. We’ve been doing their advent calendars and we have a frosty the snowman countdown that everyday Jordan moves the little candy cane closer to the day… I can’t however wait for Christmas dinner.. YUM. My hubby always makes an amazing holiday meal.. Can’t wait! We are also going to dinner at my mother in law’s on the 23rd.. Shes making a nice chicken dinner and we’ll hang out there for a bit so the kids can have a little Christmas with her before she leaves for Toronto to visit her Mom and Daughter for the holiday..

Thanks everyone.. on here and twitter. I had a rough 2 days when I found out but I’m alright now. Obviously death is a sad thing, but finding out how I did wasn’t exactly a way I’d want anyone to find out about a dear friend passing away…

With that said…

I’m finally done all my Christmas shopping! I went out yesterday morning after having a Parent/Teacher interview with Jordan’s teacher and finished. 1st’ly - Jordan is doing amazing in school, which I am so proud of him for doing so well! 2nd’ly YESSSS! All done my Christmas shopping. I went a little over board this year but I had 4 kids and 1 husband to buy for, so I don’t think I could spend a tiny bit and be done so although I spent above what I wanted to.. it’s done! :)

I think we are going to take the kids to have their photo done with Santa on Monday. I’m pretty sure that is Peter’s only day off this week so we’ll have to do it then.. otherwise, it will be too late considering the next week is Christmas. Where in the heck did 2009 go?? It seemed to have gone by really quickly.

Well I need to bath Jayden.. Daddy bathed the girls this morning while I ran out to get some groceries… and Jordan will just have a shower before bed… so I’m off to get them situated. My girls fell asleep already and its 645p.. they didn’t have their usual nap today because I wanted to see how well they sleep at night without one, so we’ll see. I’m not too pleased they are asleep already but I wouldn’t be surprised if they slept straight through.. After the kids all are asleep I need to do a quick tidy up and get ready for bed myself. My Aunt from Toronto is coming over for a visit tomorrow and I havent seen her or my Uncle (my moms brother) since Kyla was a few days old, So that will be nice!

Well, If you need to check out; social security disability I have a few friends on Canadian disability, I’m not sure if its the same in the US but I dunno….

I don’t even know how to describe how I am feeling right now. A friend of mine was sick, I blogged and twittered about it when she first called and told me a few months back. Well, I had been calling her for the last 2 - 3 weeks twice a day or so and never got an answer. She would always be at her nieces place, or over at her other family members places so I didn’t think anything of it. Last I talked to her in October she was feeling okay… She was doing Raidation treatments and had good and bad days…

I called her again on Monday and got no answer. I’d checked the papers to see if anything was in there, there wasnt so I didn’t bother to worry. Well last night for some reason I decided to do a search of our local paper obituaries. I did and 16 matches to her last name popped up. I scrolled down and the 3rd name… was her.

I quickly covered my mouth and begain to sob. I grabbed my phone and texted my hubby who was on his way home from work, then I clicked on her name.

There it was… “Died surrounded by family on November 7th, 2009 at her home” WHAT? November 7th???

I was mortified. I couldn’t do anything but sob. My husband walked in the door and came up to me sitting on my bed, sobbing and trying to breathe.. I couldn’t believe it. She was gone, for a month and I didn’t even know. What kind of friend was I?

Her name was Dale. I met her back in 2005.. We worked together and became really close. She always said I was like a daughter to her, and she’d always joke she was my stand in Mom. She was always there for me when I needed a friend…

She had 1 daughter named Wanda. Wanda and I were pregnant together when I was pregnant for Ava. She had her daughter Kassy on August 10th 2007 and I had Ava on August 12th 2007…. We were both in the hospital together.. She had her baby 6 weeks early, and an emergency c-section so she was there even after I had left with Ava… Her room was right beside mine and when my hubby had to go home while I was at the hospital Wanda and Dale would come visit me!

Wanda passed away 3 months after giving birth to Kassy. While they did her c-section they discovered a big tumor in her stomach, which was preventing Kassy from growing inside her so thats why they needed to take her out - but it turns out it was cancer. It had spread through her whole body and she lost her battle November 20th 2007.

Dale got custody of her granddaughter and they lived in a basement apartment of her nieces. Dale found out she had cancer a few months ago… and was on medication, doing radiation.. I hadn’t talked to Dale a lot since she found out she was sick because of her doctors appointments, and she’d go visit family a lot. She used to call me everyday sometimes 2 or 3x a day. We’d chat and laugh. But when Jayden was born I was so busy I barely got time to talk to anyone, so when I did talk to her it’d be breif. She’d call all the time but I’d miss the phone or say I’d call her back and never got to it…

I can’t believe she died. I can’t believe no one told me. She told me my number was on her fridge incase anything happened. Obviously, I know its a sad time and everyones busy and all that.. but to find out a month and 1 day later.. and by searching obituaries because her phone is still hooked up but not being answered… not the way to find out. I missed the funeral, and I feel like a complete ass. I wish I had more time to have talked to her near the end, and I just wish I could have been there for her.

I lost one of my best friends, and although heaven gained an incredible true Angel… I will miss her terribly.

Jayden is 6 months old today. It’s hard to believe it’s been half a year since he was born. It’s gone by really quickly, but it’s been great fun. I love watching him grow and learn new things. Lately he’s really been focused on Jordan. He loves his big brother and Sisters like crazy. I love watching them all together… It’s especially cute to watch when Jayden is on the floor on a blanket and the others are around him making him giggle and squeel. Thats one of the best feelings ever watching all your kids playing and happy. I love it.

I need to get out this coming weekend to finish my Christmas shopping. I don’t want to be going out any closer to Christmas than this coming weekend. I’m going to do stocking stuffers tomorrow with my friend Alex while my hubby is off and can watch the kids for a little bit. I just can’t wait to be done.. then comes the wrapping. I haven’t wrapped anything yet. I hope Peter helps me with that otherwise, I don’t know when I’ll be able to get it all done.

I wish Canada had something like Black Friday here. The sales I saw on TV, and heard others talking about would be great around this time of year. But, nothing that great around here. I think I’m doing well though finding deals and sales… but I hope when I go out again this coming weekend I can find some great stuff. I have things on a list I need to get, but things like Onesies and Sleepers for Jayden I hope I can find some good ones on sale.. We’ll see. Regardless it needs to get done, I just would rather save money then overspend, ya know?

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Peter has worked from 8am until 11-1130p since Friday so I’ve been getting things done around the house and just enjoying my kids… Right now I need to scoot and get some more laundry done and folded.. So, I am off. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

So we’ll be opening our Wii as a family on Chirstmas day.. So I’m wondering what games I can get for the Wii to help me lose some of this baby weight!

I want to get the Wii fit and I think I want to get the Biggest Loser game. I can’t make time to go to a gym, so when the kids nap and Jordan is at school or when they all go to bed at night I’ll be doing the Wii. I can’t wait.

I will be like a little kid myself on Christmas day… It will be a sight to see I tell you! :)

At least I won’t need best weight loss supplement because I heard a lot of people do really well using the Wii and eating healthy.. So lets hope it works for me. I’m 6 months post-partum and I’d like to be back to at least pre-pregnancy… we’ll see, I have a feeling that I’ll do great!

Wow.. is it really December?? December 3rd??

The last month of the year. What a year it has been too. I can only hope that 2010 will bring a lot of happiness, health and smiles to all.

Yesterday marked 1 year since the body of my husband’s Step-Uncle was found hanging from a tree not too far from my house. Such a terrible story, I just hope his kids are doing okay.

Yesterday Ava had another eye appointment at the hospital with the pediatric eye doctor. They’ve cut her patch down to 6 hours a day now, not all day everyday. She was amazed at how well her eyes are, she said her one eye is “remarkably” better and her vision is almost the same in both eyes… Which, neither is perfect but at least the patching and glasses are helping.. right? YAAY AVA!! I’m so proud of her. She doesn’t put up a fight or a fuss to wear her patch or glasses, She’s a real trooper. I think she really notices a difference too because most kids would put up a bit of a fight.

We’ve had our house decorated for a month now for Christmas. I’ve done most of my Christmas shopping. I just have my hubby to buy for a few more things for the kids and I’ll be done. I went a little nuts this year, as I always do, but I love shopping and for other people.

I put together a little baby box with some goodies for Erin which I finally mailed off on Tuesday.. I hope she receives it soon.. Who knows with Christmas around the corner but they said she should get it within 6 days. I hope she likes it, its nothing too special but Erin has been great to me over the years and even back in 2006 when I was pregnant for Kyla she sent me a box of baby stuff too! So, it was great to be able to do that for her also! :)

Well, not much else to say. I’ve been on a real cooking/baking kick lately. I’m not sure why but I am really enjoying it, and I think my family is too! I always cook and bake but I went on the hunt the other day for NEW things to make and I found a ton! Monday night I made home made macaroni and cheese bake. Then Tuesday I made from scratch Chicken Cacciatore which was amazing! Tonight I’m making Cracker breaded pork chops, Stuffing and Mixed Veggies. YUM! I’m going to reopen my recipe section and I’ll add all these recipes and point you in the direction where I got the links so you can look and find some great things for your families too!

Well, thats about it for right now. I’m looking for some office furniture because I’d like to make the part of the basement where our PC is more into an office type thing instead of just a carpet, and computer. Hopefully I can do it after Christmas.. I also want to look into fixing up the basement.. Right now its the playroom with funky colored puzzle type flooring, but I’d like to redo the walls and lay some sort of tile or something on the floor.. Make it into a nice comfy family room/playroom…we’ll see though, considering we are renting this house I’m not sure how much of a good idea that would be!
